Due to the late night yesterday my day started a bit later. I woke up at around 8, wrote the Blog for yesterday, then packed up and left. I grabbed a quick Müsli from the bakery across the street and then headed on. Today it was hard to stay on the bike route. I was following the bike signs but they only appeared sporadically. In Radovljica I found a nice lady with her son who actually biked with me for a while to get me back on the right bike trek. The problem is that bikes are not allowed on the state road to Ljubljana so I was zig-zagging across some hills through small villages.

From Kranj onwards it was only another 25 kilometres and most vertical meters done. Nevertheless it was exhausting as there was hardly any shade and the temperatures were again very high. Once I got closer to Ljubljana there was a bike path which lead right into the city center. I found a cheap room as I wanted to be in the city took a nap and then went through a tour of the city. The old town is a real gem with a mediteranien feel to it. The medieval castle majestically sits above the city with its great architecture mainly from the times of the Austrian Hungarien Empire.

Tomorrow I will try to start earlier again. I have one eye on Rijeka in Croatia but that is very far and central Slovenia is also quite mountainous. Let's see.
